Jeffery P. Swoyer, MS HRD – LEAN, Emotional Intelligence, Organizational Development
Jeff is a former Human Resource executive that has directed the human resources function as a strategic partner in five world-class global companies. He has held the position of Vice-President Human Resources with several publicly held Fortune 100 companies including Alcoa and Alumax as well as having been VP or CHRO position with several private equity-owned companies.
Jeff spent 22 years with Alcoa and its predecessor companies. While there, Jeff was extensively mentored in lean methodology as an internal consultant for Alcoa’s Lean Consulting Group. He was trained and mentored by Toyota Production Systems experts and has years of experience deploying lean manufacturing methodology throughout various Alcoa business units. Jeff also has very personal experience in Lean Transformations. As an interim General Manager, Jeff personally lead the turn-around of a $60 million aluminum business that was targeted for closure. Jeff’s application of lean principles was critical in the transformation of the plant.
Jeff enjoys managing the cultural shift that is critical to success in lean deployments. He is considered to be a subject matter expert in emotional intelligence and employee engagement and is highly skilled in leadership development change management, organizational development, conflict management, employee relations, training, and standardized work.
Jeff holds a BA degree as well as an MS HRD from Villanova, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
